Let the Bird Fly: Discussions on Christian Ethics

We live in a country that has become less and less familiar with the Bible and the worldview it creates. Because of that, Christians and non-Christians find themselves on completely different planets… or so it seems. And this is not even just the case with them, it also has caused rifts inside of Christian communities. It may be doing so in our church as well.

The reality of today is that nothing can be taken for granted as far as what is “common knowledge” or “accepted truth.” There is no standard on how people will respond to this situation or that, even if Scripture still has the same answer as it did when it was first written.

For that reason, this study is vital for all of us who want to live our lives based on Christian ethics, the moral principles given from the Bible to guide our beliefs and our actions. We can’t look to the world to show us. We don’t even see a consistent message from Christians to guide us. We need to return to the Word of God together and to ponder as a community in 2020 of what God gives us to guide us to what is good and right for us to do.

This class is all about learning how to live your identity as a child of God, how to make decisions, how to respond to policy and politics, how to be a Christian but not a show-off, how to know a lot but not be a know-it-all, and how to be a light in a dark world. There are a lot of tough questions that face our country today. We need help to find our way through. Let us return to the God who has always guided his people, in every age, to the light of life.

Join us Wednesdays at 6:30pm for “Let the Bird Fly: Living in a World Given Back to Us” - Discussions on Christian Ethics. New Discussions every week Wednesday from January 22 - February 19.
