Grace and peace to you, brothers and sisters!
This Sunday is a very exciting and jam-packed Sunday. In our normal 9am service, we will be confirming Haley Meyer and welcoming her to join us at the Lord's table. It has truly been a joy to teach her for the past two years and it will be a joy to celebrate her faith with you all on Sunday!
After the service, there will be refreshments and about a half hour in between before we begin our groundbreaking ceremony outside by the north-west corner of the building at 10:30am! We have several special guests who will be joining us to represent the community. They wanted to be part of our groundbreaking because they are very excited for us to begin such a large project. At this point we know that Mayor Beggs and a representative from the Chamber will be in attendance. I am thankful they will be coming to share in our excitement. Even more, I am thankful that they will hear the hope we have in Jesus, and they will know that it is our passion for the gospel which is the reason for our investing in our congregation, its ministry, and our community!
PLEASE plan on staying for the ceremony which will not last more than a half hour, including a prayer for our church, a prayer for the building project and the workers involved, and a short reading and devotion grounding our project, not in our efforts, but in the foundation already laid, Jesus Christ!
ALSO if you have a shovel, please bring it! We would like to have as many have shovels as possible so that we can begin this work on our building together and together remember how we are here to serve the Lord and ground more in his Word!
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week with this outstanding weather! What a change from only a couple weeks ago. God has richly blessed us.
See you in God's house!
In His service,
Pastor Buelow
